Prof. Carsten Carlberg wybrany na stanowisko ERA Chair
Prof. Carsten Carlberg, światowej klasy biochemik w badaniach nad witaminą D, w ramach prestiżowego europejskiego grantu ERA Chair WELCOME2 stworzy w Instytucie Rozrodu Zwierząt i Badań Żywności PAN interdyscyplinarne Centrum Doskonałości wykorzystujące narzędzia nutrigenomiki do oceny wpływu odżywiania na (epi)genetyczne predyspozycje do tzw. chorób dietozależnych. Pobyty naukowców z Ukrainy w PAN
Ogólne warunki:
- koszty związane z podróżą i pobytem ukraińskich naukowców w jednostkach PAN pokrywa Polska Akademia Nauk;
- długość pobytu w jednostkach PAN wynosi 3 miesiące z ewentualną możliwością przedłużenia.
Wnioski:
Wnioski (pobierz) jednostki PAN składają do Biura Współpracy z Zagranicą PAN w trybie ciągłym (do wyczerpania środków).
Ukraińscy naukowcy, którzy nie mają partnerów naukowych w jednostkach PAN mogą kontaktować się z Biurem Współpracy z Zagranicą pod adresem bwz@pan.pl lub z panem Mateuszem Białasem pełniącym obowiązki dyrektora przedstawicielstwa PAN w Kijowie (adres e-mail: Mateusz.Bialas@pan.pl).
Warunki finansowe:
- koszty pobytu (wyżywienie i zakwaterowanie) – 5000 PLN miesięcznie,
- koszty podróży z Ukrainy do Polski – do 1500 PLN.

On behalf of the President of the Polish Academy of Sciences, please be informed that within the framework of cooperation with the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (NASU) we introduce a new tool supporting cooperation with the Ukrainian researchers:
General conditions:
- expenses related to travel and stay of the Ukrainian scientists in the units of the PAS will be covered by the PAS;
- duration of the stay in the units of the PAS up to 3 months with possibility of extension, if necessary.
Who can apply:
To apply for funding the units of the PAS submit an application (enclosed) to the International Relation Department of the PAS. The call is ongoing until further notice.
The Ukrainian researchers who do not have scientific partners in the units of the PAS may contact:
- International Relations Office of the PAS at: bwz@pan.pl or
- The acting director of the PAS representation center in Kiyv: Mateusz Białas (Mateusz.Bialas@pan.pl)
Financial conditions:
- living expenses – 5000 PLN monthly,
- travel costs from Ukraine to Poland – up to 1500 PLN.
The refunding of costs will be carried out to the units of the PAS on a monthly basis.

The Institute of Animal Reproduction and Food Research of Polish Academy of Sciences in Olsztyn, Poland is looking for three PhD students. The PhD students will be part of an interdisciplinary team of researchers led by Prof. Carsten Carlberg with the goal to investigate the effect of vitamin D and other nutritional compounds on changes of the epigenome and transcriptome of tissues and cell types of healthy and (pre)diseased individuals.
