The Institute of Animal Reproduction and Food Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Olsztyn is looking for a dedicated Lab Technician / Specialist to join Prof. Carsten Carlberg’s research team, under NCN OPUS27 Grant „Impact of vitamin D on the epigenetic programming of CD34+ hematopoietic progenitor cells derived from human cord blood”. In this role, you will prepare and execute precise cell and RNA analyses, support experimental research, and ensure the organization and proper functioning of laboratory resources. Position description:
- preparation of commissioned cell and RNA analyses based on precision and quality,
- support for experimental research including ensuring the availability of reagents and materials as well as the proper functioning of the equipment,
- cataloguing / organization of samples and reagents,
- assistance in the implementation of research project, preparation of buffers, materials and reagents for the research group,
- contact with the administration of the Institute, preparation of formal letters and other documentation.
Requirements:
- precise pipetting,
- completed studies in the field of: Biology / Biotechnology / Veterinary Medicine / Animal Science / Food Technology,
- at least 2 years of experience in laboratory work,
- proficiency in carrying out analyzes with use of:
- RNA isolation,
- cell culture,
- knowledge of English at a level that allows easy communication,
- very good organizational and communication skills,
- high precision and diligence in the performance of duties,
- strong motivation to work and improve one’s qualifications,
- independence, the ability to work in a team and organize her/his own workplace,
- computer skills (MS Office software).
