Computational Biology Core facility operates in the area of supporting research teams in computational analyses as well as the processing and interpretation of biological data.
Laboratory of Virusology and Molecular Microbiology
We study the mechanisms of cytomegalovirus congenital infection – replication, spread and latency.
Proteomics
Analysis of the quality of semen, oocytes and embryos as well as cryopreservation of semen and oocytes of domestic and endangered animals.
Microbiological
We run microbiological analyses, and isolate and identify microorganisms. We prepare strains from our own collection and make them available for research.
Sensory
We study the sensory quality of food and its changes under different factors, as well as conduct sensory trainings.
Molecular Biology
We support research conducted at the Institute through dissemination and implementation of innovative, cutting-edge molecular biology techniques.
Cell Analysis Laboratory
We culture cells in vitro. We analyze and sort cells using flow cytometry and study cells by confocal microscopy.
Animal Laboratory
We breed two species of laboratory animals – mice and rats. Our specialised staff ensures care throughout the in vivo experiments.
Metabolomics
We study the metabolites of plant and animal tissues, and phytochemicals metabolic pathways in terms of the nutritional impact on the occurrence of diseases.
Laboratory of Biotechnic and Reproductive Biotechnology
Our team performs analyses of the quality of semen, oocytes and embryos, as well as runs cryopreservation of semen and oocytes of domestic and endangered animals.
