Scientists from our Institute received funding for implementation of research projects submitted in the National Center for Science contests: OPUS 16, PRELUDIUM 16 and SONATA 14.
OPUS is a funding opportunity intended for a wide range of applicants. The research proposal submitted under this scheme may include the purchase or construction of research equipment:
- Prof. Izabela Wocławek-Potocka. Mitochondrial and metablolic adjustments during bovine in vitro embryo development – examination of the molecular quality markers of the bovine oocytes. Budget: 1 142 536 PLN,
- Prof. Monika Kaczmarek. Milky Way to reproductive success: role of leptin in the programming of reproductive functions over generations. Budget: 2 195 550 PLN.
PRELUDIUM is a funding opportunity intended for pre-doctoral researchers about to embark on their scientific career:
- Katarzyna Walendzik. Role of epidermally expressed transcription factor Foxn1 in regulation and modulation of dermal white adipose tissue (dWAT). Budget: 139 993 PLN.
SONATA is a funding opportunity intended for scientists holding a doctoral degree starting their career in research:
- Dr Bartosz Fotschki. Polyphenols from raspberries and their metabolites as factors regulating mechanisms of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease. Budget: 1 295 260 PLN.
OPUS, PRELUDIUM and SONATA provides funding for projects intended for a 1,2 or 3- year implementation and allows for a purchase or development of research equipment. In the reported call, 1235 applications were submitted in the area of life sciences, with 241 having been selected for a total funding of 225M PLN.
