Institute of Animal Reproduction and Food Research of Polish Academy of Sciences in Olsztyn is looking for an employee to the position of

• Assistant in the Department of Biology and Pathology of Human Reproduction

Indicative performance criteria:

• higher education – MSc in biological sciences, at least five years of professional experience related thematically to the research activity of Division of Reproductive Biology,
• scientific achievements: co-author of at least 5 scientific papers published in international peer-reviewed journals (at least two of them as a first author),
• experience in the application of molecular biology techniques (including DNA, RNA and plasmids isolation, Reverse Transcription PCR, Real Time PCR, sequencing, Southern and Western Blotting), immunohistochemistry and microscopic techniques including immunofluorescence,
• knowledge of methods of isolation and cultivation of primary cell cultures and cell lines,
• experience in working with laboratory animals (mice), certified by the Polish Laboratory Animal Science Association in the terms of planning procedures and experiments, animal handling and killing of animals,
• experience in research projects, international internships and scientific training – including at least one 6 months stay in foreign research center,
• good knowledge of English,
• very good knowledge of computer equipment, including fluency in GraphPad Prism.
