Prof. Radosław Kowalski in Marine Research Station, Japan
Dr. Radosław Kowalski, at the invitation of Japanese partners, gave a speech at the 49th scientific meeting of the Japanese Spermatology Society, held in the Shimoda Marine Research Center University of Tsakuba, Japan. Institute wins grants of National Centre for Science
Scientists from our Institute received funding for implementation of research projects submitted in the National Center for Science contests: PRELUDIUM 15 and OPUS 15.
OPUS is a funding opportunity intended for a wide range of applicants. The research proposal submitted under this scheme may include the purchase or construction of research equipment:
- Prof. Dariusz Jan Skarżyński. Biological study and mathematical modeling to describe and predict new processes controlling the development, function and atresia of ovarian follicles in cows. Budget: 1 966 000 PLN
- Prof. Andrzej Ciereszko. Regulation of bull sperm capacitation by redox modifications of proteins. Budget: 1 706 700 PLN
596 applications were submitted in the 15th edition of OPUS call in the area of life sciences. Financial support of a total of 170 mln was granted to 115 projects.
PRELUDIUM is a funding opportunity intended for pre-doctoral researchers about to embark on their scientific career:
- Sylwia Judycka, MSc. The mechanisms regulating sperm maturation and formation of cryoinjuries to cryopreserved semen of sex-reversed females rainbow trout. Budget: 209 998 PLN
- Maria Guzewska, MSc. Role of microRNAs and prostaglandis in reglation of extracellular vesicles biogenesis in porcine trophoblast cells: in vitro studies. Budget: 139 993 PLN
In the 15th edition of PRELUDIUM call 1132 applications were submitted to the National Centre for Science. Among them, 259 projects received funding of a total of 39 mln PLN.
