Institute of Animal Reproduction and Food Research PAS in Olsztyn will receive 77,6M PLN subsidies from the Warmia and Mazury Regional Operational Programme for the construction and mobilisation of the Centre of Environmental Research and Innovative Food Technologies for Quality Life.
The concluding agreement was signed on December 22, 2017 by Prof. Mariusz Piskuła, Institute’s Director, and Gustaw Marek Brzezin, Marshall of the Warmia and Mazury Province.
Granted support to strengthen its potential, the Institute will create a transregional research and development base with innovative integrated laboratories offering complex services and technologies to be successfully implemented in i.a. agri-food, biotechnology and veterinary medicine industry.
„The project will also contribute to the integration of our Institute from four quarters to one – says Prof. Mariusz Piskuła, Director of Institute PAS – and its location will allow us to better network with the business sector”. The use of infrastructure will facilitate implementation of activities having synergies with smart specializations of the region, i.e. high-quality food and water economy.
The new premises of the Institute will be located in an immediate neighborhood of the Olsztyn Science and Technology Park, and will be implemented in a Public-Private Partnership formula.
The total cost of the project is 93M PLN.
