MSc Shalini Menon and Mr Unni Sivasankaran from Department of Applied Chemistry, Cochin University of Sciences and Technology of India visited the Department of Biosensors and Laboratory of Bioelectroanalysis of Institute of Animal Reproduction and Food Research of Polish Academy of Sciences in Olsztyn since October 1st till October 30th, 2017. The visit was part of the Indo-Poland joint project entitled: Development of sensors for compounds important for clinical analysis and food safety.

Researchers have participated in the experimental work carried out in Department of Biosensors. They took part in research based on the using redox-active layers in electrochemical sensors designed to detect specific DNA sequences derived from avian influenza virus type H5N1 and anions in water.

The future co-operation between University of Sciences and Technology of India and Department of Biosensors of Institute of Animal Reproduction and Food Research of Polish Academy of Sciences has been established.
