Methods and analysis


  1. Immunoenzymatic (ELISA) and immunoizotopic (RIA) determination of hormone concentrations:
    • protein hormones (LH, PRL) and receptors LH/hCG with iodine (J-125)-labelled preparation,
    • iodination of protein hormones (LH, PRL) and cytokine (IL-1β, IL-6, TNF-α),
    • steroid hormones (P4, A4, T, E1, E2, cortisol),
    • prostaglandins (PGE2, PGF2α) and metabolite of PGF2α – PGFM,
    • Oxytocin and endothelins using preoxidase (HRP)- or biotin conjugated hormones
  2. Analysis of critical parameters and blood gasometry:

    Analysis of gasometry and oxymetry parameters as well as electrolytes, with application of analyser of critical parameters, RAPIDpoint 405 (SIEMENS):

    • gasometry : pH, pCO2, pO2,
    • electrolytes : NA+, K+, Ca++, Cl-,
    • glucose, HCT,
    • oxymetry: sO2, FO2Hb, FCOHb, FHHb, FMetHb, THb,

    together with a number of counted derivative parameters and many parameters of derivatives.

  3. Morphometric blood analysis:

    • Double-track measurement of leucocytes in two independent channels
    • Basic and expanded morphologic analysis of cattle, sheep, horse, cat, dog, rabbit, guinea pig, rat and mouse blood, using of hematologic analyzer ADVIA 2120i (SIEMENS).

    Desired volume of blood sample foranalysis is 157 µl.

  4. Immunochemical-chemiluminescense blood analysis with application of immunochemical analyzer IMMULITE®1000 (SIEMENS):

    • Analysis of adrenal/ pituitary, sex hormone concentrations (e.g. P4, T, E2, cortisol),
    • Analysis of thyroid physiology,
    • Analysis of concentrations of growth factors,
    • Analysis of inflammatory factors (IL-1β, TNF-α, IL-10, LBP),
    • Analysis of allergy, anaemia and diabetes factors,
    • Analysis of cardiologic, infectious disease, cancer factors,
    • Drug concentrations

    Analyses may be conducted with the following material: sera, plasma and culture media.

  5. Analysis of specific immunoglobulins E using ImmunoCAP 100 apparatus:

    • Phadiatop test for differentiation of atopic and non-atopic diseases,
    • Total IgE,
    • Total IgE (low level) – for small children,
    • Specific IgE – over 500 allergies and 70 mixes,
    • Eosynophilic protein ECP – monitoring of asthma treatment,
    • tryptase – monitoring of anaphylaxis,
    • gliadins IgA and IgG – child food intolerance,
    • specific IgA reference to milk proteins,
    • specific IgG and IgG4,
    • anti-thyroid antibodies: anti-TPO, anti-TG,
    • above 22 parameters within autoimmunological diseases in IgG, IgA classes.

    Material required for analysis: 40 µl of patient serum.

  6. Qualitative and quantitative in vitro determination of human IgG and IgE with the use of Euroimmun equipment:

    • Immunoblott to determine specific allergenic IgE antibodies in human sera,
    • The panels concerning mix of 20 allergens in one strip (pollen, pollen-pediatric, food, atopic), two for insect venoms and „pediatric profile” concerning 27 the most popular allergens i.a.: white and yolk of egg, milk proteins, wheat flour, rice, soy, fruits and vegetables within food allergens, and grass and tree pollens, Dermatophagoides allergens, and animals epidermis within pollen allergens.

    Material required for analysis: 100 µl of patient sera.

  7. Detection of functional proteins (cytokines, effector proteins, receptors, cell surface markers or antibodies) released by single cells with the use of ELISpot (Enzyme-Linked ImmunoSpot Assay).
