During the visit in Hungary and Slovenia, Dr. Radosław Kowalski along with his research team – Dr. Beata Cejko, Sylwia Judycka and Michał Blitek – conducted  a trial of air spawning of marble trout (Salmo marmoratus), thanks to Dušan Jesenšek a manager of a Slovenian fish hatchery in Tolmin (Ribiška družina Tolmin). In addition, experiments were performed on the cryopreservation of marble trout sperm. The visit of Polish researchers was initiated by Prof. Akos Horvat from Szent István University, and marks the beginning of Institute’s scientific cooperation with the research centres from Hungary and Slovenia. What is more, the trails conducted will facilitate implementation of the method developed in the Institute on a world scale.
